A couple of months ago, I said that the months of October were the best time of year for sports fans because high school, college and pro football were all in full swing, baseball was in the playoffs, NASCAR drivers were chasing for the Cup and the NHL and NBA were beginning to get ready to open their seasons.

This time of year, the last few days before Christmas until the few days after New Year’s, have to be in the top three or four in that list.
