Robert Scroggins was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps 95th Bomber Group when the B-17 Bomber he was a bombardier on left before dawn on the morning of June 6, 1944 from Horam, England.

The plane was on a bombing raid hitting inland targets high over the beaches of Normandy, France as part of one of the United State’s largest military invasion in history, known as D-Day. Friday marks the 64th anniversary of this historic day.
