People taking VIOXX, a common pain reliever for many area arthritis patients, will now have to look for something else following a report released Thursday.

The report, collected over a period of three years by Merck and Co., VIOXX’s manufacturer, found the pain reliever to be a possible factor in some heart attacks and strokes.
