When it was announced in mid-January that Russell Corporation would be going through more cutbacks and more jobs would be lost within the Alexander City plants, it all came as a shock.

We were told that the cutbacks would be finalized by the end of 2007. Well, those job cuts came a year earlier, and no one should be surprised.
