In February, Horseshoe Bend School held a schoolwide art contest in observance of Black History Month. The winners were announced at the end of March. 

The art contest theme was Change Makers, and three students took home first place. The elementary category had a tie for first place between fourth grader Whitley Daniel and second grader Brynnan Burhalter. Senior Alayna Manley won first in the high school category.
