On April 30, officers responded to Oak Hill Drive in reference to a person who had been struck by a vehicle, according to a release from the Alexander City Police Department.

The release stated officers located the victim, a 43-year-old Black female, lying on the edge of the roadway. Medical attention was rendered by Alexander City fire medics as officers began a preliminary investigation.Â
