For the past 20 years, Kowaliga Country 97.5 has been a staple on the radio dial. Serving Tallapoosa, Clay, Elmore and Coosa counties, Kowaliga Country is celebrating its two-decade birthday this week.
“In some ways it’s like dog years because it seems like it’s been a lot longer, but it also goes by so fast,” station owner John Kennedy said. “It does feel good; it’s an accomplishment to get to 20 years with the same format and the same market. You don’t see that as much anymore.”
