Cliff Williams / TPI The Tallassee City Council is considering purchasing buildings along James Street in downtown Tallassee. The buildings currently are not occupied.

The Tallassee City Council did not take up an offer to purchase four James Street buildings in downtown Tallassee at a cost of $150,000. 

At the previous meeting, the council asked Mayor Joey Wiginton to see if a lower price could be obtained.
