Cliff Williams / TPI Voters in Elmore County will have a chance to vote on portions of Enhance Elmore next month. Opposition to the measure is asking for more transparency and cutting of expenses.
The Elmore County Commission will pave more roads, increase school resource officers and continue to pay incentives to reward long-term employees thanks to approving a more than $66 million budget at its Monday meeting.
Elmore County chief engineer and operations officer Luke McGinty said the budget is slightly higher than normal. It is because of anticipated spending for quality of life projects and projects funded by Enhance Elmore measures including a new administration building at the Elmore County Judicial Complex.
