Major League Soccer announced it will stage a shortened 2027 campaign from February to May next year

Major League Soccer will play a February-to-May campaign in 2027 to transition into a season schedule that aligns with most football leagues worldwide, organisers announced on Thursday.

The "MLS Sprint Season" will see all 30 teams play 14 regular-season matches from February to April, once either at home or away against each of their conference rivals.
