(The Center Square) – Energy developer ONE Nuclear announced Monday it has signed an agreement with a group of Louisiana landowners that secures a site for a 2.88-gigawatt natural gas-fired power plant, battery storage system, and data center campus located between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.
Florida-based ONE Nuclear intends to build Project Cayman near the RiverPlex MegaPark and northeast of SpaceX’s recently announced Starbase project, One Nuclear said in a statement. Elon Musk’s 125,000-acre, $100 billion Starbase Louisiana project, which was announced last week, is designed to be the largest rocket launch facility on Earth.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and
pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any
circumstances.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible
and drink plenty of water.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
