Submitted / TPI Previous Great 650 contestants Holly Orr and Mollie Binion poses with paddles painted by Wetumpka High School art students. Wetumpka High School students are once again creating paddles for this year’s race.

Art work created by Wetumpka High School students is distributed around the world thanks to a partnership with Great Alabama 650.

The longest paddle race in the country attracts participants from across the country and the world to paddle non-stop from Lake Weiss to Fort Morgan in Mobile Bay. In less than 10 days, paddlers cover 650 miles of water with just a few stops along the way.
