Col. Bobby E. Glisson, USAF, ret., age 64 of Jackson’s Gap, Alabama, went to be with his heavenly father on June 17, 2011.  Memorial service for Col. Glisson will be held Monday, June 20, 2011 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, Alexander City.  Rev. Dr. Gerald Hallmark will officiate.  Full military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force.

Born and raised in Bainbridge, Georgia, he was an honors graduate of The University of Texas, Golden Gate University, Air Command and Staff College and Air War College.  After a long and distinguished Air Force career, Col. Glisson retired as Wing Commander of Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
