Mamie Hudspeth Scott of Alexander City, Alabama died March 15, 2009. She and her late husband Robert Gene Scott were lifelong members of First United Methodist Church of Alexander City, Alabama. She is survived by one daughter Lizabeth Scott King and her husband Ed of Youngsville, North Carolina; one granddaughter, Roslyn Elizabeth Ragsdale, also of Youngsville, North Carolina; her sister, Patricia Hudspeth Helton and her husband Buddy and her brother, Eddie Hudspeth. She is preceded in death by one son, Patrick Hudspeth Scott; her brother, William Byrd Hudspeth and her sister, Angie Hudspeth Waggoner.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church of Alexander City, Alabama. The family will receive friends in Mrs. Roslyn Weathers Home at 263 Warren Hill Drive, Alexander City, Alabama after the service.
