Mr. James Austin “Jimmy” Thornton

Mr. James Austin “Jimmy” Thornton, 73, of Tallassee, passed away June 4, 2019. He was born June 28, 1945.

Funeral service will be Friday, June 7, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem East Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Bridgman officiating. Pall bearers will be grandsons, Tim Thornton, Cory Hamilton, Austin Thornton, Austin Mathews, Caleb Thornton and Andrew Thornton. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Rick Dorley officiating, Linville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory directing. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Bethlehem East Baptist Church.
