Spring football has wrapped up across the SEC and the transfer portal is officially closed until December 4. Well, that is for undergraduate students. Graduate transfers can still jump ship if they so desire.
This is a very slow time on the sports calendar, especially since Auburn baseball is having a disastrous season. It seems like a perfect time to continue a tradition I started over a decade ago making some ridiculously early predictions about the upcoming college football season. There’s a lot to process this year with Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC, no more Nick Saban and the introduction of a 12-team playoff. I recently discovered an obscure band of gypsies in my family tree. Obviously, these prophetic abilities are in my blood. Let the insanity begin.
