Auburn officially ended fall camp with their final scrimmage of the preseason this past Saturday. It was closed to the public and media, but reports have leaked that the offense had their best day since practice began and possibly even since Hugh Freeze arrived on campus.

That is an extremely positive note considering how much the offense struggled one week prior. Peyton Thorne reportedly looked exceptionally sharp and the entire receiving corps took turns making plays. Obviously, I just wrote a couple of weeks ago about the necessity of a much more productive passing attack if the Tigers have any hope of exceeding expectations. With all the young and inexperienced players at receiver, I never thought it would be a position I felt so confident about leading up to the season. I have never been so overjoyed to be wrong.
