It’s the start of the summer, which means local libraries are beginning their summer reading programs. This year’s theme for all the libraries is “Color Our World.”

Alexander City’s Mamie's Place Children's Library has its registration through Beanstack App for its summer reading program, and part of the program will be focused on art. There will be two drawing classes, June 4 and July 17, as well as a painting class on June 10. Meanwhile Dadeville’s library will have the McWane Science Center on June 4 and Animal Tales on June 13.
