Throughout my life I’ve enjoyed reading books in a variety of genres – mostly fiction – from the classics to science fiction, fantasy, mystery, adventure, thriller, horror … you name it. I’m willing to at least give almost anything printed on paper and bound between covers a try. (No, I haven’t become a fan of e-readers – at least not yet.)
On the sci-fi front, I discovered authors like Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov and Robert Heinlein very early on and thanks to used book stores and occasional reprints I have most of their novels on my bookshelves at home. One of the most fascinating things to me about science fiction stories (including old school sci-fi movies and television series like the original “Star Trek”) is how many of the devices we now use every day are really the product of some author’s imagination.
