I love holidays. I look forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas every year with the excitement of a kid a tenth of my age. My Lord, I’m old. I squeeze every red, white and blue drop out of Independence Day like it will be my last. I love Easter, Memorial Day and New Year’s. Heck, I even celebrate Flag Day (not really), but nothing compares to Labor Day weekend.

This is the jackpot of all holidays for fanatics like me. I start getting a fever or “feva” as Christopher Walken would say, for college football at the beginning of August. It builds exponentially every day throughout the month leading up to Auburn’s first game.
