It’s postseason time for me as the sports editor here at TPI, not for football, but for volleyball. As I’m sure most of you know, the area tournament was in full swing this week, and for me, I had the pleasure of being at Dadeville on Wednesday.

It was a cool experience for me, obviously, keeping my feelings out of it. I say that because Dadeville volleyball was just not up to par before Beverly Barron arrived. She, just like me, is an implant to Tallapoosa County. We’ve both had to navigate our way around things as we adjust to this new place and new people we are interacting with.

Samuel Higgs is the sports editor for the Alexander City Outlook and Dadeville Record.
