Edgewood struggled to find its footing on both sides of the ball Friday night as the Wildcats were shut out 42-0 by Autauga Academy, unable to advance past midfield throughout the contest.

The loss dropped Edgewood to 4-5 on the season, leaving the Wildcats with one game remaining before the regular season concludes. Autauga Academy used a steady rushing attack to control the game and keep Edgewood from building any offensive momentum. Edgewood’s biggest obstacle was its inability to sustain drives. The Wildcats struggled to move the ball beyond the 50-yard line, limiting their opportunities to challenge Autauga’s defense or put points on the scoreboard.
