The Edgewood Academy Wildcats split wins with Hooper Academy on Tuesday night in a double-header to extend their record to 9-5 on the season. The first game saw the Wildcats struggle in the pitcher’s circle and succumb to Hooper’s power hitting, 14-3. Edgewood finally got the bats going in the second game, eventually walking it off with an RBI single from Riley Ward, 11-10.

The Wildcats struggled early against Hooper in the first game, surrendering runs in the top of the first inning due to two-consecutive errors. For the rest of the game, it was all Hooper, as the Colts scored six more runs in the top of the second on six hits. Hooper totaled four home runs by the end of the fifth inning, after which the umpires called the ball game due to the mercy rule.
