When it comes to the playoffs, a team’s path to the state finals can make or break its postseason aspirations. A clinched area title means a guaranteed home game in the first round of AHSAA soccer playoffs, and a clearer path to the state championship.

Elmore County’s boys soccer team solidified its postseason path last week with a 1-0 win over its county rival and area foe, the Holtville Bulldogs. The win saw the Panthers finish the sweep of Holtville in the two-game area series.
