Submitted / TPI Elmore County's wrestling team celebrates its second consecutive AHSAA Class 5A South Sectionals team win. Nine wrestlers qualifed for state including Luke Payton, Stran Webb, Dylan Andres, Hudson Fulmer, Hayden Fochtmann, Tyler Payton, Gavin Eason, Connor Pike and Kayden Haskins.

Elmore County’s wrestling team hasn’t lifted the blue map since 2005; this season’s wrestlers are dedicated to changing that and to bringing back a wrestling state title to Eclectic for the first time in more than 20 years. 

For the last two seasons, the Panthers have been in the hunt. Last month, they finished third in the Class 5A state duals for the second year in a row, beating Beauregard 46-30.
