“You win some, you lose some,” is a tired old cliche that can be applied to just about anything. It’s probably overused and definitely a cliche, but the saying holds true when a team watches its season end when it was just getting started. 

Holtville’s boys soccer team learned a lot through its struggles this season – the growing pains, the injuries, the could’ve-won games and the should’ve-won games.

Ana Sofia Meyer / TPI Seventh grade midfielder Danial Ullao (10) dribbles to find an open teammate as Holtville finished soccer season with its final two games of area competition. The Bulldogs finished strong, but lost both final games, 1-0 versus Elmore County and 3-0 versus Brewbaker Tech.
