Just one game away from the Class 3A Regional Tournament — that was the fate of the Dadeville softball team on Tuesday.

After posting an impressive resume, going 7-2 in Class 3A Area 6 play, the Tigers snatched homefield advantage for the area tournament for the first time in 16 years. A first-round 7-1 win over Beulah put Dadeville on the right track to pull away with one of the two bids to the regional tournament, but a 6-2 loss to Glenwood and a 4-2 loss to Lee-Scott ended the Tigers’ day prematurely.
