Alex Golesh made a very good impression at SEC Media Days in front of local, state and national media. His answers were forthright and genuinely thoughtful. I continue to say this, but it continues to be true. I like Golesh more and more every time I hear him speak.

That’s very refreshing, because I liked the last two supposed leaders of the program less and less every time they opened their mouths. Admittedly, we’re still in the honeymoon phase and none of Golesh’s idiosyncrasies have manifested quite yet. How does he handle winning? How does he handle losing? He preaches a great message. Does he practice what he preaches? These things will become very clear very soon. I thought I would continue what I’ve long considered a public service this week. I was born with an innate ability to translate “coachspeak” into its actual meaning. Here’s a few things Alex Golesh said and actually meant last week at SEC Media Days.

Andy Graham is a co-host of Auburn Blitz and his column appears here weekly.
