Cliff Williams / TPI Inmates at the Elmore County Jail hugged as other were baptized in the exercise yard at the jail.

The exercise yard at the Elmore County Jail was a little different last Tuesday. A large stock tank was brought and filled with water. It transformed the space into sacred ground as nearly three dozen female inmates were baptized.

Elmore County Sheriff Bill Franklin said there are several ministers and churches who come into the jail to speak with inmates a few times a week.
