The Tallassee Tigers boys and girls basketball teams hosted the Beauregard Hornets on Thursday night in a non-area showdown. The girls team claimed a big win with improved offense and stout defense, 54-33. Forward London O’Neal led the Tigers once again with a double-double, putting up 17 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Cheyann Easterling added 17 points of her own, with five steals and two assists. Despite an even matchup with the Hornets, the boys struggled to keep themselves in the game mostly due to an excess of turnovers. They fell in the non-area contest, 47-42. Guard Jaiden Gordon had six points and six assists in the loss.
