Tallassee’s girls basketball team closed out the week with a win on Friday night, defeating Class 4A Area 5 opponent Booker T. Washington (8-6), 59-24.
The win came on the back of the Tigers’ aggressive defense and fast-paced offense. They picked up 25 steals over the course of the game. London O’Neal led her team in points and rebounds yet again, paving the way for Tallassee (5-6, 5-3). She had 21 points, 12 rebounds and four steals. Reese Gough came in with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Guards Cheyann Easterling, Kam Tate and Jaaliyah Williams took charge of distributing the ball on offense with six, five and three assists respectively. Easterling added seven points and three steals. Williams also had five points and four steals.
