When Tra’Mel McCoy first stepped onto the wrestling mats at Tallassee High School, he was just an eighth grader with little to no experience with the sport. It didn’t take much time before John Mask, Tallassee’s wrestling coach, knew that he would be special.
In every sport, but especially wrestling, perfection is hard to come by. When one mistake, one wrong move, one point is the difference between a win and a loss. It’s a statistical anomaly. After all, it’s one thing to win a match, get a takedown and successfully pin an opponent. It’s another thing entirely to dominate.
