With one of the youngest teams in recent memory, the Tallassee Tigers are proving experience means far more than age as their senior-less squad jumps out to a 4-1 start to the season.Â
The Tigers opened the season with wins against the Scottsboro Wildcats, 4-3, and Isabella Mustangs, 11-0. Junior pitcher and leadoff batter Marlee Osborne notched the first win for Tallassee with her two hits on four at-bats, scoring one run, as well as her complete game in the circle, allowing just four hits and three runs, walking four batters and striking out one. Olivia Hammonds got baserunners across home plate with two sac flies.Â

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of

possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible
and drink plenty of water.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
