Tallassee to resurface, repaint basketball court

When he took the job of football coach and athletic director, Eric Folmar knew he’d have to make some changes to Tallassee’s athletic department and its facilities to show the community he is dedicated to making sure the Tigers can continue to perform well. 

“When I first got here, I walked into the gym and I asked about the gym floor,” Folmar said. “It looked a little antiquated, and talking to (running backs coach) Caleb Stewart graduated from here not too long ago. He was like, ‘Coach, it’s not as old as you think. That was done when I was in school, so maybe 10 or 12 years ago.’ But I mean, basketball courts, you have to refurbish them every few years.”
