Tallassee’s two-time defending state champion, Thomas Patterson, is on track to be one of the most decorated wrestlers in the history of the stories program. Patterson, now a rising senior, attended another national tournament for high school wrestlers this summer in New Jersey and went undefeated at 118 pounds.

“I went 6-0 in the individual bracket,” Patterson said. “And I won convincingly against everybody I went against. It was a pretty good tournament for me, I would say. A really big national tournament and big for recruitment.”
