Wetumpka’s boys soccer team has had a chip on its shoulder dating back to last season. The Indians faced the worst type of defeat: an 8-0 shutout at the hands of their bitter rivals, Stanhope Elmore.
This season Wetumpka reversed its fate, beating Stanhope Elmore decisively in two meetings which clinched the Indians a first round playoff game at Hohenberg Field. Wetumpka faced and defeated Russell County, 2-0, on Thursday.
