File / TPI Wetumpka's Queen Ballard has proved the magnitude of her impact in many ways this season. On Tuesday night, Wetumpka's senior night, Ballard proved it one final way -- by scoring her 1,000th career point.

Oftentimes expectations don’t meet reality. In a way, expectations can be a recipe for disappointment. For athletes, however, expectations serve as a tangible goal that can be achieved — something to aspire to and eventually become. 

When Wetumpka senior forward Queen Ballard joined the program over the summer, coach Harriet Winchester had those expectations already set for her.
