The Tallassee Tigers improved to 5-1 on the season – its best start in the last five seasons – with an 11-1 win over Dadeville in five innings on Tuesday night. The Tigers were able to get the bats going early, racking up six runs in the third inning. On offense, Tallassee was led by third baseman Olivia Hammonds who went 2-for-3 on the night with a team-high four RBIs. Hammonds is currently batting a 0.588 average with 14 RBIs this season. Kam Tate pitched a complete game as well, with six strikeouts and just one run allowed – zero earned.Â
