Upgrades are taking place in the city of Dadeville. 

The Alabama Department of Transportation has begun its resurfacing of Alabama Highway 49 from the south Dadeville city limits to U.S. Highway 280. Dadeville Mayor Chuck Ledbetter said he does not know many details about the project since it belongs to ALDOT. During the precouncil meeting, Ledbetter said the project is predicted to take between three weeks and two months. If anyone experiences any concerns or issues regarding the project, Ledbetter said to contact his office.
