The Tallapoosa County Board of Education approved a resolution to change the school board superintendent position from elected to appointed during Tuesday night’s board meeting, but the change is not official just yet. 

TCBOE superintendent Casey Davis said the resolution asks Sen. Jay Hovey and Rep. Ed Oliver to take the change to the legislature to be approved as a local act before heading to the governor’s desk for their signature.
