The City of Dadeville has long been moving into a new era and its city council took action to capitalize on it Tuesday night.

The council approved a city project to build a 500-seat civic center/theater on Cussetta Street, which once held a Coca Cola bottling company. Dadeville Mayor Chuck Ledbetter said the project is estimated to take two years to complete. He called it the next step for the city to keep moving forward.
