Discipline was the word of the afternoon for New ADKA Missionary Baptist Church’s back-to-school event. 

The church program may have given away school supplies for the next school year, but it also gave away encouragement. Felix Maxwell, of Millbrook, was the guest speaker for the event and chose Hebrews 12:11 to guide his wisdom for the students, which reads: “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”
