The last time the Edgewood Academy football team played Southern Prep Academy, the school went by a different name.

The year was 2013; Southern Prep at the time went by Lyman Ward, which was later changed in 2019. The Rangers hosted the Wildcats for the first time since 2002, with Edgewood walking away with a 57-0 win.
