Horseshoe Bend students, staff recognized at TCBOE meeting

The Tallapoosa County School Board of Education invited and recognized many Horseshoe Bend School students and staff. 

After approving the recognition of retirees, TCBOE superintendent Casey Davis presented Sheila Howard with a glass clock. Although Howard is retiring as a bus driver, she will continue to work in Tallapoosa County schools as a substitute teacher. Howard has worked for Tallapoosa County schools for more than 37 years and was a part of the original fleet of drivers that came to HBS. Davis said Howard chose to be a bus driver to see her kids as they were growing up throughout their school years.
