After three years of efforts, Jackson’s Gap accomplished a long awaited goal of its mayor.

A 15- by 25-foot American Flag was placed at the end of the Jackson’s Gap Volunteer Fire Department before the nation rang in its 250 birthday. Jackson’s Gap Mayor Frank Lucas said 12 flags are placed around the town and wave year round. He hopes promoting patriotism makes residents proud to live in the town.
