Local organization continuing century old mission

Strengthening families and communities was a mission that began 100 years ago for this club. 

Lakewind Homemakers and Community Leaders is a volunteer organization and currently has 10 active members. Their club does not just meet for programs, but also leads community service projects. Although still working on what this year’s project will be, last year Lakewind HCL raised money to purchase new undergarments for women at the Tallapoosa County Jail. The organization hosts a fashion show each year to raise money for its projects.
