The first Dadeville City Council meeting of the month means hearing updates from all departments.
During water and sewer board reports, District 3 council member Teneeshia Goodman-Johnson said the board had a very long meeting. It was the first meeting of the East Tallapoosa Water and Sewer Board, which is the board now governing Camp Hill’s water.

At 1236 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Kellyton, moving southeast at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Alexander City, Goodwater, Kellyton, Bradford, Cottage Grove,
Northern Lake Martin, Highway 9 and Highway 22, Crewsville, Wind
Creek State Park, Western Lake Martin, Fishpond, Ray, and Hissop.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and
pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any
circumstances.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stoke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible and
drink plenty of water.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
