The Alabama Center for Rural Organization and Systemic Solutions, or otherwise known as ACROSS, has completed the roof for a local resident after two years with the help and funding of Habitat for Humanity of Lake Martin Area.

During the hailstorm in March 2023, Mattie Echols struggled to find safety within her home. The only thing she could hold on to was her faith. The storm ended up destroying her roof, leaving her to rely on tarps provided by ACROSS.
