Facing a possible third year of proration, the Tallapoosa County school system is set to borrow several million dollars to satisfy its financial needs.

Recent media reports indicate that the state of Alabama could declare proration for fiscal year 2011 or possibly before the end of fiscal year 2010. With budgets slashed to the bone, the school system had to consider other options for making ends meet in the coming fiscal year.
