The Dadeville City Council passed its budget for the 2014 fiscal year, projecting a surplus for the year of more than $146,000,

The budget projects revenues for the fiscal year, which began Oct. 1, to be $2,663,250. Projected expenses were $2,516,900. City Clerk Mike Gardner said part of the reason the budget was passed a month into the fiscal year was so they could see a full 12 months of expenses, rather than guessing at September figures.
